Your Skin During Halloween

halloween_makeupAs Halloween comes up, adults and children similarly are designing costumes for parties, school events and trick or treating. During this holiday some adults turn into children – they wear costumes, apply make-up and take on funny shoes. They are all fun to put on but there are some things to think about so that your skin and your health are not affected.

Halloween Skin Health Safety Measures
1. Prevent cuts and scrapes
During carving spooky eyes and a silly mouth in a pumpkin the knife may slip and cut your hand. Just one Halloween scenario which can result in an injury or even a trip to emergency - don’t forget tripping on your costume and scraping your knee.

2. Latex allergies
Wearing a scary mask to your party can cause allergic reaction of your skin to latex. If you have latex allergies or sensitive skin, your face may react to the latex rubber. Instead of this you may try hypo-allergic face make-up.

3. Glue
If you really think that gluing artificial beard on is a good idea, you are wrong! Reactions to that special glue (even though it says it is safe to use on your face) can results in blemishes, rashes and even damage to your skin. And absolutely, never put glue near your delicate eye area!

4. Reactions to make-up
As you know, applying make-up is often an integral part of your Halloween costume but it can often cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. So use following hints:
Try the product before Halloween, to make sure that you don't react to it.
Ensure you only use products intended for your face.
