Cleanse and Moisturize Skin

anti_aging_cleanseAnti-aging skin care products include cleansers and scrubs that will help to keep your skin clean and moisten. Gently remove your eye makeup and then your face makeup with an oil-based milk lotion or cream before washing your face. Avoid rugged soaps, cleansers and hot water. Use tepid water on your face and pat your skin dry rather than rub it. For super deep cleansing, use scrub or a cleansing mask  every week, or if your skin is very sensitive, ones a month. After cleansing, use a toner or a skin firming product and after that apply a moisturizer.

There are two types of moisturizers. The first type is the group of humecants such as glycerin, sorbitol, lactic acid which holds and attracts moisture; the second is the family of emollients such as lanolin, petroleum jelly, and mineral oil that forms barriers to seal in moisture. Both types are effective, and you will have to try yourself which type is better for you. Use a light, easily absorbed moisturizer during the day, and apply a heavier moisturizer at night.

You can find cleansers, toners, and moisturizers made for dry, oily and combination skin. Hyperactive oil glands can cause acne at various ages, and your skin will become drier with age. Select skin care products appropriate for your skin type. In addition to moisturizer and toner, you need to use anti-aging products destined especially to brighten age spots, to cure dry lips, to protect the sensitive skin under the eyes, and to control acne and blemishes. If you want to remove wrinkles, alpha hydroxy acids and Retin A will help you.

Whichever moisturizing cleansing, or problem-solving skincare products you use, if you forget your sunblock,  all you did till that moment is just  a waste of money and exertion. Sun is a great foe of your skin. Never forget to protect your skin from those harmful rays. Use a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15, and slap it on summer and winter, on sunny days and cloud windy weather. Those damaging rays can reach right through the clouds and find your unprotected skin. Don’t forget to put sunscreen on your lips, too.
