Anti-Aging Skin Care
After 25 years of age, the symptoms of aging start to become visible. Genetically programmed chronologic aging changes in elastin and collagen, the copulative tissues that supply firmness and elasticity to the skin. The genetic program is different for every individual, so the loss of skin elasticity and  fixity occurs at different times and different rates in one individual as compared to another.

People over 40 often start to find noticeable wrinkles and lines, decreased skin thickness, uneven skin texture and tone declining elastin and collagen production and barrier dysfunction, even dehydration. Dehydration can be apparent if your skin becomes dry, fragile, which results from the loss of a lipid barrier that controls the quantity of moisture lost to the atmosphere.

The sun is another major bad factor in the skin-aging process. With years, cumulative sun exposure sets the stage for discolorations, wrinkles and skin cancer. Ultraviolet  radiation is the reason of more then 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging, resulting in lines and wrinkles, brown freckles (lentigos), dilated capillaries (telangiectases), acne and dry complexion.

Ultraviolet light not only harms the DNA in the cells of the skin. It also hampers the reconstruction mechanisms that repair damaged skin cells. The depletion and destruction of DNA, hyaluronic acid,  elastin, collagen lead to the different harmfull changes of facial aging. Wrinkles usually settle down near 30 years to evolve and are slow to remove. Most topical products are designed to protect the skin from sun damage, to moisturize and hydrate the skin, reduce pigmentation and roughness and lessen fine lines. With ages, skin becomes dry and less elastic. The fat pad begins to vanish. With the loss of underlying support by connective tissues and  fat padding, the skin begins to sag.

Although age spots, lines and  wrinkles are formed by the natural effects of getting older, one road to prevent them from appearing early on in life is to avoid erect sunlight and use sunblocks with SPFs 15 or higher. Many people have some form of sun-damaged skin; there are different ways to recover unhealthy skin.
